Where is my writing stored?

Only on your device. There is no server, no account, no cloud. If you delete the app, the pages on that device go with it.

How do I back up my pages?

Open Settings inside QuietPage and tap Export your pages. The app produces a plain-text file you can save to Files, email to yourself, or send to any other app.

Can I sync between my iPhone and iPad?

Not in this version. iCloud sync is intentionally absent in 1.0 to keep the privacy story simple. We're considering an end-to-end encrypted option for a future release.

I'm not getting the daily nudge.

Open the iOS Settings app, find QuietPage, and make sure Notifications are allowed. Then return to QuietPage → Settings → Daily nudge and toggle it on.

I forgot Face ID and the app is locked.

QuietPage uses your device's Face ID and passcode for unlocking. If neither works, iOS itself controls fallback. We have no way to remotely unlock the app, by design — that's the same reason no one else can either.

Can I write my own questions?

Not yet. Custom prompts can't form Mirror threads with the curated set the way written-by-us questions can. We're thinking about it for a later version.

How do streaks work?

They don't. We deliberately don't track streaks. QuietPage counts the pages you've written and the days you returned this week — both are measures that only ever grow, never break.
