the worry jar
the worry jar does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything you put into the jar — every worry, setting, and reminder time — stays on your device. None of it is ever sent to us, to a server, or to any third party.
What we don't do
- No accounts. No login.
- No analytics. No telemetry.
- No advertising. No tracking.
- No third-party SDKs of any kind.
- No cloud storage. No syncing services.
What stays on your device
- Your worries, written or released, are stored locally via Apple's SwiftData. They never leave the device.
- Your reminder time and other preferences are stored in your device's settings (UserDefaults). Used only by the local notification scheduler.
- Your wish-star count is shared between the app and its widget through an iOS App Group — entirely on-device.
Notifications
If you choose to enable the daily reminder, the worry jar uses Apple's local notifications to deliver it. Apple handles delivery on your device — no message is sent to a server.
Deleting your data
Delete the app from your device. Everything goes with it. There's no remote copy to remove.
Children
the worry jar is rated 4+. We don't knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, of any age — we don't collect anything from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app handles data, we'll update this page and bump the date below. The current and only commitment is: nothing leaves your device.
