Privacy Policy
Tend collects no personal data. Everything you put into the app stays on your device.
Plain English
- No accounts. You don't need to sign up. There's no log-in.
- No tracking. Tend has no analytics SDK, no third-party scripts, no advertising identifiers.
- No cloud storage. Your habits, your tend history, and your settings live in the app's local sandbox on your iPhone. They never leave it.
- No network. Tend makes no network requests. The app does not contact any server, including ours.
- No ads. Tend has no advertising of any kind.
- No sharing. We do not share, sell, transfer, or rent your information to anyone — because we don't have it.
What Tend stores on your device
The only data Tend stores on your device is:
- The habits you create (name, plant type, creation date)
- The dates on which you tended each habit
- Two small preference flags (sound enabled, appearance preference)
- Two onboarding flags (whether you've seen the welcome flow, whether you've tended for the first time)
This data is stored using Apple's standard SwiftData and
UserDefaults. It is automatically backed up to your personal
iCloud Backup if (and only if) you have iCloud Backup enabled for the device
— that backup is encrypted and inaccessible to us.
Required Reason API declarations
Apple requires apps to declare reasons for using certain system APIs. Tend uses:
- NSUserDefaults — to store preferences and onboarding flags
(
CA92.1: access info from the same app, per documentation).
The full declaration is shipped in the app bundle as PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy.
Children
Tend is rated 4+. It collects no personal information from any user, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change anything about how Tend handles data, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Because we don't collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly — please check this page if you're curious.
